Thumbnail showed in Facebook sharing

edited July 2013 in Hypershot Posts: 5
Hi,
I cannot understand which is the logic between the images picked up by Facebook while I attempt to share my website.
www.dired.it
if you try to put it on facebook it gives you just 3 thumbnails, and if you try to share any other page than the home it doesn't give you any thumbnail.

I really cannot understand. Do I have to set some tag to images?
Thanks for any help

    Hello:-)

I have just tested all your site checking each type of page(main blog, list of albums, single album, single post) and sharing it on facebook. I don't see issues you describe. Only page that doesn't have thumbnails at all is main blog page. I don't know why is it so.

How do facebook choose thumbnials? I think you can google it. From what i noticed it facebook will find "too" many images on one page it will choose up to 3(maybe 4) random images from page and let you choose one of it.

    With regards.

That's exactly what I mean. Is there any way to set which image facebook should choose as a thumbnail of a page?
    For example: in this page
    http://www.dired.it/?album=portraits-4
I'd like to use as a thumbnail always the last image I upload but I always see the same images (even if I delete Facebook's cache about this page)

    Moreover, in this page
    http://www.dired.it/?album=picasso-lines-and-soul
there are 3 images and it shows me all of them (correctly).

I'd like to be able to choose a thumbnail image in pages where there are more than facebook accept (so have always 3 or 4 images maximum but decide manually which of them).

Do you think this is possible? I read about a metatag which indicate to a website which image use as a thumbnail but I don't know how to identify it.

Thanks for you answer and for support. :)

    Hello:-)

Currently I don't have any knowledge how to do this. I will dig this subject in later days, so I will mark this topic to check. If you will know more you can also drop some info.

    With regards.
