Default Theme Header Transparency
I'm not sure where the header transparency option is, I've tried changing different color/transparency options under Header and Background, and looking through all the Customizing menus.
This is on a fresh Photoproof install, on fresh Wordpress.

Please go to
Customizing ▸ Header settings ▸ Type, variant, background ▸Header color variants ▸Enabled . It will fix the issue.

Turns out, because I used a new album, I also had to set "Hide content under header" to "Yes hide content" and "Head color variant" to "Light", instead of "Global Settings".
Now it works!
