Homepage SEO and cononical url

Hi, im having some treble optimising the website for seo, as i have the and album as the home homepage and even though my url is www.studiostratford.co.uk google looks at it as https://www.studiostratford.co.uk/album/home-slider/ and i have no way of changing that as its setup as the homepage and not able to change the url, not only that, but all the onpage seo i done thought yaost has been ignored buy all the search engines, so i have the most important page without any seo. How can i resolve this ?

    Yes, this is limit of WordPress currently, when using custom Post types as homepage, however yoast plugin can work around this.

    I suspect you have change this right after noticing this in google, and expect result almost instantly, right ? :-) Unfortunately this needs time, search engines have to re-index your site to see the changes you have made.

    I have checked source, and I see that your changes are in place, with proper canonical now, so just wait for them to show up in google.
