Menu not showing well after activating Apollo13 Framework Extensions

edited November 2018 in PhotoProof Posts: 4
Hi,

I decided to buy your theme because it looks REALLY awesome and it has all the features that I need. The thing is, as soon as I activate the 'Apollo13 Framework Extensions' plugin my main menu isn't showing properly. It looks like the whole theme isn't showing properly. You can see it for yourself on mvdbphotography.com. The moment I deactivate the plugin, the menu is back as shown in your demo's. It does show properly while in 'Edit' mode. Just look in at my screenshot and you'll see what I mean.

And: can I change the text in the green button saying "Click here to scroll below"?

I'm on WordPress 4.9.8 and I meet all the hosting requirements that are needed. Also, I tried to do 3(!) fresh installs of WordPress.

Thanks in advance!

    Hey :-)

I have seen this issue before. Could you please follow this topic https://support.apollo13.eu/discussion/5636/after-install-photoproof-different-frontend-and-backend

    Mainly this part
Air said: please try to disable all plugins except for Apollo13 Framework Extensions.
Don't worry - we will solve it together

    With kind regards.
  • Hi Air,

I deactivated all the plugins except for the Apollo 13 Framework Extension, yet the problem still persists.

    Greetings.

Could you please send me temporary access to your WordPress so I could check there what is going on? Send it here on the forum via private message(click on my nick, in top-right corner you will find option "Message"). In message please add LINK to topic it applies to.

By sending access to WordPress I mean:
-create a new ADMIN account with a fake e-mail
-set some password to this account
-send me created login and password
  • Hi Air,

I've sent you the login details in a private message.

Thanks to your link now I know what is going on.

Your site is served by HTTPS, but a file with all the styling is served by HTTP, and because of that it is blocked by the browser.

To fix it please go t Settings->General menu, and set your WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) to be https address as currently it is http.

I will also check why all other files are returned correctly, even when these options are set to http.

    With kind regards.

OK, I have found out that it is partly bug in WordPress that is not fixed for last 5 years https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/25449#comment:34

Anyway, don't worry about what is in the above link ;-)

I have just added a fix to "Apollo13 Framework Extensions" and I will release a small update soon.

Thanks for all your help @mvdb87!

    With kind regards.

You can update Apollo13 Framework Extensions to version 1.5.3 and it will fix this issue :-)
