Menu is missing from Blog and Blog post

in Rife Posts: 9
Hi,

it already read the tutorial
https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/basic-setup/menus/

And activated both options
Site Navigation – used as main navigation
Alternative short top bar menu – available only if you activate Top Bar option for Horizontal Header

on
"When you have your menu ready, scroll to Theme locations and mark menu as Site Navigation"

but I am still unable to get menu to display on my Blog page or single Blog post.

I have also tried
https://support.apollo13.eu/discussion/5042/menu-missing-in-individual-blog-posts

But it's already normal
"Customizing ▸ Blog settings ▸ Single post ▸ Header color variant
and switch it to normal."

Only thing it worked for my front page was adding menu like this
Pages > Edit with Elementor > Elements (Nav Menu)

And if I try to edit Blog page with Elementor I receive the following error
"The preview could not be loaded
We're sorry, but something went wrong. Click on 'Learn more' and follow each of the steps to quickly solve it.

If I enable safe mode it never loads.
Do I need to add the Nav Menu element on Blog page as well and how?

Any help is welcomed :)

Homepage is

Blog page is

And single blog post is

Best regards,
Marin

    Hello Martin :-)

If you are using Elementor to override the menu and effectively replace theme parts for it, you will not be able to use theme settings for it(menu).

So none of the options that you have mentioned above will work or have any effect as you have replaced the theme menu with Elementor custom menu.

As for editing Blog page with Elementor - indeed it is not possible, as it is special type of page that doesn't have editable content, so Elementor can not add there anything.
If you are rewriting so much with Elementor, you can as well do it for the Blog page.

To do it create a new page with the Elementor and add there post widget, from the theme widgets for example https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/content-management/elementor-widgets/ , and later add this page to your menu as the new blog page.

    With kind regards.
  • Hi Airn,

I do not want to use any custom menus if its not necessary. I tried following instruction on link 1 I posted and it did not work.
    https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/basic-setup/menus/

Can you give link with instructions or look into it? I can give you a login in PM or you can msg on WhatsApp on my number.

    Best regards,

    Hey :-)

Well, the link that you have provided is the valid one :-)

Let's focus on getting your menu in the right place.

If currently, the menu isn't appearing, please try to disable the Elementor plugin, and check if then it will show up.

I believe settings/plugins that you have added may interfere.

Please also check if you didn't disable theme header in settings: Appearance → Customize → General settings → Theme Header

    With kind regards.
  • Hi Ari,

about the Theme Header option, its unfortunately not what I would like to use. I would like to place menu as on picture.

    - Is that possible to be done on Blog page? Or do I need to create custom blog page from scratch? :(

    - If I need to create page from scratch unfortunately I can't stick with that option right now so can you also please point me how do I make Theme Header transparent and sticky?

    Hi Marin,

We're not sure what you want to achieve.
You want to have two headers on your page, one with the white background and another with the transparent background on your blog?
You sent the picture but I'm not sure about the location of the header, your picture is only to show us another header variant without a BG or you want to place it below?

  • Hi Daniel,

I want to have only this transparent menu on position like in the picture on Home page and same position on Blog page and Blog post but I am unable to edit Blog structure, it does not load with Elementor. Even in safe mode...

So I assume that I need to build custom blog and custom blog post page to achieve this, and if I do need to do it custom then I wont do it for now but then can you point me in right direction how to make the header with menu that has white background transparent and stick on top?

    Best regards,
    Marin

    Hi Marin,

You can't just edit our blog using the Elementor. You need to build it from scratch using the Elementor. If want to do this, just watch some popular video about it:

P.S Our blog you can edit only in the Customizer but if you need more you must build it by yourself in Elementor.

About the transparent header, you want to achieve something like this: https://rifetheme.com/raven/ ?

    Hello :-)

You can use for example light version of the header, set there transparent background, and there assign this variant to the blog page in the blog settings.

Check first https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/customizing-the-theme/header/variant-light-dark-overwrites/ and prepare your light header variant.
Next, go to blog settings: Appearance → Customize → Blog Settings → Posts list → Header color variant → Light.

If you want to use this transparent variant in other places, please let me know, and I will guide you.

    With kind regards.
