Is it possible to put a border around thumbnail graphics on the specific products pages?

Some of our images are light and would benefit from a border (or shadowing) so people know they are there and they can be clicked to reveal more images...is there a way to add a border (or shadow) effect?

Again, this is on the particular product pages, so the images are pulling from the gallery.

    .woocommerce #content .theme-thumbs div.product div.thumbnails a {
        border: 1px solid #000;
    }
