Navigation menu not respecting padding.

Have you made any code modifications(CSS, JS, PHP)? If yes write what you changed.
I have only modified the functions page to remove double titles from my other thread.

I am using a text logo with 25px top padding. When I select the navigation menu, the text logo loses the padding and appears where it would be without padding. You can see this happening in my attachments.

In addition, it would be really nice to select a font color for the text logo before the menu appears and another font color for the text logo after the menu appears. I notice there is this option for the image logo, but not the text logo.
