Is there a way to make a page transparent or a column transparent so you can just see text directly on the background image?

Well, you know, almost everything is possible but not everything is user friendly. I think you have experienced how bad is reading naked text above photo.
If you don't want anyone to read your text(content) just don't add it;-)

Anyway please show me what exactly part you wish to change to transparent color.

I guess I am wondering if there is CSS code for transparent page just so I can at least experiment a bit with creating an effect similar to the above link.
