Widget Sidebar and layout

Hello,

Sorry for all the questions new to themes...

1 - Is it possible to have the sidebar show up on the main blog landing page? if so how would I do this without messing up the template layout.

2- Also Is there way to expand the formatting of area that the text shows up for say the about us page when center is selected? i.e. making the area wider and still keeping the formatting? or is there a way to edit that layout feature and have the text/images show against the background instead of that box?

Correct how can I increase the size of the container or remove it from specific static pages.

Remove what? Remove restricted width?
You can't do it only for specific static pages.

If you really need to increase content area use full width option.

Thxs, but now the issues is that when I expand the page on the blog; and i'm using tabs the box wraps at the bottom? is there something I can do to prevent this?
