Missing icons, folder "gfx" is missing

edited May 2013 in Skyfashion Posts: 11
I am using the Skyfashion theme, and I have noticed a problem in the "Social" settings. The icons do not show up. When I look at the source, I see that it is pointing to:

{mysite}/{wp-content-directory}/themes/skyfashion/common/gfx/light/{icon}.png

The problem is that the "gfx" folder is missing. I have double-checked and re-downloaded and reinstalled the theme, and that folder still does not exist. What gives?

In addition, each social icon has a line next to it that reads:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'aim' in {path}/{wp-content-directory}/themes/skyfashion/advance/apollo13.php on line 533

Any ideas?

    Hi the_zero,

    I have checked code of Skyfashion and line selected by warning code.
    To which social service link you wanted to add?

    With regards

    Which social service do I want to add? What does that matter? I am missing the "gfx" folder completely. I can remove the error codes completely. If I try to add a social link without removing them then the icons do appear normally on the site, but they link to the error message.

    Fact remains: the 'gfx' folder is missing.

    I can't really do that. The site is currently password protected, and I don't know you. Posting a password on a publicly accessible forum isn't the best idea.

    What I can do is post a file list of all the files that are in the zip, direct from ThemeForest. It is attached. Please let me know if you see a "gfx" folder that I might be overlooking.

    I just downloaded the "Main Files" and "installable wordpress file" from ThemeForest. I extracted them both. In the /skyfashion/common/ folder I have three subfolders:

    1. css/
    2. images/
    3. js/
    There is no "gfx" folder.

    You can send Argone needed data, as he is part of our Apollo13 crew responsible for Skyfashion Theme.

    To do it send it here on forum via private message(click on his nick and there you will find option to send message) . In message please attach link to topic it applies to.

    With regards.

    Sorry - I had no way of verifying that he was part of the staff.

    I have sent him a private message. Hopefully he can get this resolved soon, although the problem does not seem to require a login. I am simply missing the gfx folder from the zip archive I downloaded from ThemeForest. I've already provided a file list from the zip archive. Let me know if I am overlooking the "gfx" folder it in some way.

    Argone has not responded. Any ideas on where this folder is? Can you just offer it up for download?

    Hi the_zero,

    The GFX folder doesn't exist in Skyfashion theme. This definition is from our universal theme system. I can't tell you why it displays you a problem because we tested this installation many times and it doesn't display this error.

    I checked your wordpress and when i set a link to social link it displays an icon (in footer)

    With regards

    Argone will respond.

    I have just checked in newest version of Skyfashion that url to social icons looks like that
    <img src="' . TPL_URI . '/common/images/social_icons/' . $id . '.png" alt="" />
    so there is no using of gfx folder. I don't know where have you found it. Are you sure you have newest version of theme?

    With regards.

    OK - I gave Argone the login to the site. If you log in there, you will see - in the admin, on the Social links - there are no icons showing up. Each one is trying to link to a file in the /gfx/light/ folder. I already stated that on the actual site itself the icons DO show, but first I have to remove all of the error messages on the Social links page in the admin. The error messages may show because the images do not exist.

    As for downloading the newest version of the theme, I re-downloaded another version just now from ThemeForest. This is probably my 8th (and 9th) download. This time, I used a different browser, so there's no possibility of having an old version cached. For the purpose of this test, I downloaded the "Main File(s)" link, which gave me a file named "themeforest-2735654-skyfashion-minimalist-wordpress-theme.zip". I unzipped that, and then I unzipped the "skyfashion.zip" archive inside. That is the theme, correct? I just downloaded it now at 11:01AM EST. And again at 11:11AM EST.

    Inside the theme, I ran this from the command line:

    > grep "gfx" * -R

    It returned:

    > advance/apollo13.php: define('TPL_GFX', TPL_COMMON . '/gfx');

    Hmm. Timestamp on that file is Jan 22 19:40. Filesize: 106K (108181 bytes).

    That reference is on line 21 of advance/apollo13.php. Other references for "TPL_GFX":

    Line 261:
    > src="<?php echo TPL_GFX; ?>/light/logo.png"/><?php _e($title); ?>

    Line 528:
    > src="<?php echo TPL_GFX . '/light/' . $icons_set . '/' . $id; ?>.png"/><?php echo $name; ?>

    line 1898:
    > $src = TPL_GFX . '/' . TPL_COLOR . '/photo_small.jpg';

    line 1902:
    > $src = TPL_GFX . '/' . TPL_COLOR . '/photo.jpg';

    line 1932:
    > $src = TPL_GFX . '/' . TPL_COLOR . '/video_small.jpg';

    line 1934:
    > $src = TPL_GFX . '/' . TPL_COLOR . '/video.jpg';

    Other files referencing the "gfx" folder include:

    common/css/admin-css.css
    common/css/theme-minimalist-round.css:

    I hope this is clear. Sorry for the formatting.

    If I have the wrong version of the theme, or if it is outdated in any way, please let me know how I can download a more recent version, because this is apparently the only one that I can download from ThemeForest.

    Incidentally, the installed theme reads "Version 1.8" but the version number for the theme page at ThemeForest reads "Version 1.6."

    Hi

    As I don't have access to Argone's mail box, could you please send me temporary access to your WP and FTP so I could check there what is going on? Send it here on forum via private message(click on my nick and there you will find option to send message) . In message please attach link to topic it applies to.

    With regards.

    I'll give you access to the WP administrator account, but not FTP. I will, however, upload a copy of the themeforest zip file that I downloaded today.

    OK I have gone through topic and logged to your site.

    Yes that is true, someone F*cked this up and it should be fixed. Anyway as I see it is not affecting work of front office and icons are displaying there.

    As Argone stated

    I understand you have debug mode ON and this is why you see these warnings. If you will disable it, everything will work "nice". I know this moving problem under carpet and it should be fixed, and it will:-)

    I think we have waste lot of your time just cause of misunderstanding on beginning. I am very sorry for that.
    I hope we will soon release update that will fix such errors and stupidities like these. Thanks for all your patience!

    With regards.

    I have debug mode on? Where? It's not set in my wp-config.php file. Is it set in the theme, or by default for some reason?

    This has taken much more of my time than I preferred. As you may note, from the beginning I stated that the "gfx" folder was missing. A simple check through your archive or your source code would have shown I was correct.

    I look forward to your update.

    If not a debug mode then maybe some warnings are displayed on some servers, but it will also mean that:
    1. such error should be reported long ago by other users.
    2. We should probably see it also in our demo installations.

    But never mind, it will be fixed soon:-)

    As I said in private message - we had unexpected crew change and this is why this situation occurred. Once again I am deeply sorry for wasting so much of your time.

    We did, as I cited in previous post. We were just sure that you are referring to front-end, not back-end ,issue and this was main misunderstanding from our side.

    If you insist, Argone will bow his head for rest of this month on every new topic about Skyfashion Theme;-)

    With regards.

    PS. just kidding Argone ;-)
