Hi!

Is there a chance to show sub-categories inserted and order them by ID instead of alphabetically?
A really cool bonus would be to add RSS link after each (sub)category.

Hello

This is default WP widget and it would require some custom coding. It is beyond theme job, more like small plugin job. I advise searching for freelancer or some solution already made by others, maybe even plugin :-)
