Fame Theme - Required Plugins
Do I have to buy licenses for the following plugins for this theme to work?
- WPBakery - Visual Composer
- LayerSlider WP
- Go - Responsive Pricing & Compare Tables
The all require payment and the installation button is not working from inside the WP admin.

No you don't have to, they are bundled with theme.
I understand you are having problems with installation. Please follow this http://apollo13.eu/docs/fame/#!/installation_update and if this wont help I will try to do it for you:-)
