Translation problem

edited September 2014 in Fame Posts: 3
Hello. I'm having a problem with the header mini-cart, the button "Go to the shop" is the only thing that won't get translated. I did the translation following your instructions on the documentation, editing the .po file, and there is a "Go to the shop" line, but it doesn't work. It's strange because when I open the webpage for the first time it shows in spanish (the language I'm translating to), but then it changes to english again. Everything else got translated succesfully.

If we can't solve this, is there a way to delete that button? I don't care if it doesn't show up in my web, but I can't have text in english. The url is http://diapolshop.wadstudio.com .

Thank you!

    Hello

It is strange and sound like Woocommerce issue, but I will investigate this closer. To hide that button you can use custom CSS solution from this answer http://support.apollo13.eu/discussion/comment/9511#Comment_9511

    With regards.
  • I'm having the same problem. I've even tried to edit the php file, and it still shows in english. It also happens to me with the "Payment method" title in the checkout page.

I have just made a little search about your case and I will now get to reading :)

I have read here http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/125700 that there is some cache for this part in Woocommerce and it is stored in browser and that is why you might not see any changes.

So I think that if you translated both woocommerece plugin and our theme, then maybe this kind of "cache" keeps you away from seeing result.

As for Payment method it comes directly from woocommerce, and there is no Ajax(as far as I know) so there shouldn't be same problem like in case of header mini-cart.

I will have to work closely with you to find out what is really going on :-)

    With regards.

  • Damn, it was the cache indeed.
As for the payment method, I've changed it on the code and it just worked
    Many thanks
PS: tried to buy you a coffee but I don't understand polish paypal

Thanks, however I don't know why it displays that way. Doesn't matter, rating our theme is enough gratitude:-)

    Edit:
Thanks for info about language, it should be better now. I thought paypal is smarter;-)

    With regards.
