Portfolio Categories???

Is there a way to isolate the categories shown in the portfolio. For example:

1. I would like to have in my menu, two links, "Photography" and "Videography"
2. When I click on the "Photography" I would like only "works" that are in the photography category show up and vicea versua with the videography, only the videos showing up?

Or what would I change in the code if I just make two separate page templates, Photography Portfolio and Videography Portfolio and apply each to seperate pages and link to those separate pages.

I'm trying to go through the code but not much is labeled.

I sent an email to apollo support, about problems on the same topic. I made a photo category in my portfolio, however photos are not showing on front page, and it looks rather odd in the portfolio category. Check out: chilimia.com

there was so many requests, so we decided to make it as a feature.
We just released new update.
You can easily create multiprotfolio now.

Awesome, however I wasn't able to do the update to version 1.5. I followed the instructions but it continues to say version 1.4. Could you help me out with this? Also when it is updated are there specific instructions on how to use the multiprotfolio and how to set it up??

Don't worry about version number - sometimes we forget to change version number with new release :-)
And that is why check lists were created, but still someone have to use them... ;-)

I've updated and added more Portfolio's but is there a way to use different layouts on different pages?

So one gallery i want to use 3 columns and then on another i want to use 4 columns? At the moment it is restricted as you have to choose one layout for all.

Thanks for updating. This is great but I have one little issue.
I am under "Fine Art" page, but the "Home" menu is highlighted.

Hi,
in a work edit panel you have "Portfolio page" section.
There you have to choose portfolio which must display this work.

Are you sure there is not a way to modify the code so one portfolio page could have 3 columns and another 4 columns? In the demo site the drop down pages have different thumbnails shown on different pages so it must be possible somehow.

Hi,
you need to make copy of taxonomy-skills.php and loop-portfolio.php files.
Then rename them in top comment. In loop-portfolio.php you need to set values $size.

I named each taxonomy-skills2.php and loop-portfolio2.php.

I made the copy of both files and updated the template name in the top of taxonomy so it shows up in the template drop down as a selection.

What do I update in loop-portfolio2.php to reference the new copy?

you need to make change in your new taxonomy file and set there your new loop-portfolio file (search for loop-portfolio.php)

You need to change 56 line:

$size = $apollo13->get_option('portfolio_options', 'portfolio_icon_size');

for something like this:

$size = "small";

or

$size = "medium";

or

$size = "big";

It depends what size you need.

I don't need to change the thumbnail size yet, I'm still trying to get the 2 portfolios to show. Please read back through the thread. What do I need to update in taxonomy-skills2.php to reference loop-portfolio2.php Everything I have tried above has not worked. When I select "Portfolio2" as the template I get a duplication of each portfolio not each seperate. Thanks!
