Hi,
first of all: great theme – I like it a lot.
But how can I manage a blogpost to look like
http://themes.apollo13.eu/spaceship/2012/07/31/background-gallery/ Didn’t find it in your documentation – which is very good. Maybe I just have overlooked it…
Best wishes

Thanks for good words - we are really glad you like it.
About your case - you didn't overlooked it, I did while writing documentation :-)
This is answer I prepared for you to send in comments on TF(but I don't have access there):
To set album as background:
1. You need to create new album as described here
http://apollo13.eu/docs/spaceship/#!/adding_album_add_new_album
2. You have to set it as background album as shown on image here
http://apollo13.eu/docs/spaceship/#!/adding_new_posts_pages
We will update on-line documentation soon about that topic!
This should help :-)
With regards.
thanks for your help!
Do I understand it right, that I can have a background-gallery for post only when I add an album before? What do I have to do, to not shown the album in the album list?
sorry - sounds a little bit strange...
Best wishes
Stefan
Yes, it may sound weird if you treat album as fullscreen sliders in addition to blog:-)
We tried to make Albums as main part of theme, and to allow display them even if you
are viewing blog part. Maybe our approach need some correction :-)
For now there is no possibility to show album as background for post/page without displaying in Albums list. I will have to carefully rethink this case to find solid solution for this.
BUT if you don't want to use albums as part of your site, you could just not add Albums list page, and use albums as full size background sliders:-)
With regards.
We plan to release next version in about 2,3 weeks, but I will send you stable one earlier.
I have some plan how to do it, but have to check few things and firstly finish framework changes that I am doing last few days.
With regards.
I will wait for you...
May I invite you to a blogpost of my actual blog? http://www.stefangroenveld.de/2012/testspielmodus-fc-st-pauli/ This is how I like a "normal" gallery. Sometimes I like my pictures even bigger and that's why I like your theme (plus some more). So it would be great to have a choice: normal gallery or fullsize in the background.
With regards.
Would it be possible to also get the fix to hide a specific album from albums list?
I'm also trying to use a few albums in the BG only...

Thanks
I just want to warn you that it won't be full update, but only part of whole update of spaceship 1.1, so when new version will be ready you will get notification about it, and you will have to/should update theme again:-)
With regards.
We have decided to push version 1.1 as official update tomorrow, or early Monday(europe time), so I will not send you update directly as it will include additional info for 'updaters'. You should receive info in your admin panel when 1.1 is pushed to public.
With regards.
EDIT: no, it doesn't work, because now I have to upload one picture twice to use it as featured image for my blogpost. And it's not good for SEO when there are no pictures in the blogpost.
So please rethink your theme: I want to use the background album feature as gallery in blogpost.
1. Why this is uncomfortable? You just set one option in album? How would you solve it then?
2. Why description of album should be shown when album is displayed as background? Flashing letters under main content area will only confuse potential reader.
3. Twice? You mean one for Featured image for post, and one as photo in album?
But album is not a slider as I told you before:-) Album is just album to which you can link, watch it, or use it as dynamic background. There was no intentions to make Albums full screen background sliders.
With regards.
1. I want to write a blogpost, upload my pictures and be ready for publishing my post
2. I want to use the background gallery not as background but as normal gallery for special blogpost because I like to show my pictures large. So I need the description. (Sometimes I have blogpost with only a few words, but pictures where the description explains something)
3. right
Best wishes
