Post Grid Settings

Hi, I am trying to create a custom query in the post Grid shortcode tool. I have tried query_posts( 'post_type=post_jobs' ) and a few other methods but none has worked. If you could provide an example of doing a custom post type, and one with two variables, like a post type and orderby.
