portfolio pictures are not showing up

my portfolio pictures are not showing up. i added a new work, assigned a category to it, then uploaded images to it via "portfolio details - add images and video." the slider is on. http://www.brettloie.com/portfolio/after-hours-2/

conversely, with this page i added the images the same way, but had the slider off: http://www.brettloie.com/portfolio/detroit-2/ i then changed the width of the pictures to 200. i like the look of this, but i am wondering, is there anyway i can get the images to line up next to each other in rows going across (perhaps in 4), rather than all down the side in one column? like how i have the portfolio page set up but smaller? http://www.brettloie.com/portfolio/

lastly, is there anyway i can add a hover text caption onto the images in http://www.brettloie.com/portfolio/detroit-2/

i sent my info. also, is there a way to change the blog page to not say "blog" but rather customized like the other links? i want it to say "recent." thanks again.

note: this issue with the slider went away as soon as i added text.. also had to use the full size of the image, then just adjust the width & height individually, otherwise the images would be distorted.
