Albums list keeps repeating images over and over

My front page shows the list of albums and it's started repeating all of the albums again and again.

Do you know what might be causing this?

Here are some of my settings:
WordPress Reading Settings have the Front Page displaying "."
Page "." points to the root (
http://162.243.52.208/davidbeifeld.photography/) and is based on the template "Albums list"

I also have an "Albums" page which set to the "Albums list" template
Interestingly - if I load that page, it doesn't repeat:
http://162.243.52.208/davidbeifeld.photography/albums/

My Theme Customizations Albums Layout -> Albums List Appearance -> Albums list main page didn't have anything selected. So I tried setting it to both "." and then "Albums" but still got the same results

Any ideas?

Wordpress 4.4.1 broke it, and we wait for fix in 4.4.2 http://support.apollo13.eu/discussion/3713/albums-don-t-load-up-correctly-lazy-load-problem#latest

ohhh - that explains how it was broke in production too even though I hadn't changed anything - except, that I always get the latest WordPress updates. Drag, okay, will look forward to getting that. In the meantime, might try this patch which is the code they're changing to fix it: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35344#comment:16

That is good :-) even WP introduces big errors :-)
