The audio is not starting automatically on Safari

I am using the AJAX audio feature, which is really well done BTW. It does not auto start for me on Safari however. I see the Pause icon, as if it had started, but no audio. On Chrome and FF it works great.
Can you p[lease advise? Thanks!!
