Images not Showing

edited December 2011 in Airlock Posts: 12
I have disabled all the plugins and can't figure out why the images are not showing? Here is the link to my site: www.raajkapurbrar.com. I have even uploaded the dummy data content to see how things were setup, and still I cannot see the images? I only see the caption part of the images.

I deleted the cache, cookies, and restarted my computer. Still the images do not show up in the projects or posts.

Ok, so I deleted the theme, and reinstalled it. Checked the permissions and they are ok and still can't figure out why I can't see the images in the Portfolio or posts. You should not be releasing themes without testing it all the browsers from all operating systems. If I can't get this theme to work, I would like a refund.

Here is another screen shot from Safari ver 5.1.1. The videos seem to be working, but the images are not.

Ok now I know what you mean. Do you have any notice message in admin when you login?
Please check do you have such file in your installation wp-content/themes/airlock/advance/inc/timthumb.php
Also make sure that wp-content/themes/airlock/user/ directory is writeable.
Next delete all demo posts and leave only yours.

After that we will try more to find what is going on.

Edit: I see that you have every needed file. I think to help I will have to ask for FTP account to you server only for time of work. Please send it to me via private message if you like.

    With regards.

You have problems in your server configuration, so script timthumb(for resizing images) is breaking in way we are using it. You can check this list http://www.elegantthemes.com/troubleshooting-timthumb.html mainly point 4 is for your server.

I have made local changes so for now it works well. There were few things wrong, all connected with server config.

    For dark version of gravity:
If theme is in dark version then body has class 'theme-color-dark'. You can use it to write custom styles for gravity in dark version.

    With regards.

Thanks. Can you send me a private message, telling me what changes you made. I have 7 other websites all hosted on a dedicated server, but never had image issues, so am wondering, if other changes need to be made as well. Thanks a lot.

I found another error. When I am viewing the portfolio and I hit the 'X' close button, it redirects me to an error page. http://www.raajkapurbrar.com/?page_id=3. This wasn't happening before. How do I fix this?

Did you set portfolio page in Airlock settings? Check docs if necessary :-)

About your problem, if you checked link I posted before then you should know that is not strict image problem, but server configuration about 'building addresses'(can't find better word). What I changed is some rights for directories that were involved, and changed absolute paths(that was given to timthumb script) to relative ones.

As you can see on our demo page link to auto resized images looks like:
    http://themes.apollo13.eu/airlock/wp-content/themes/airlock/advance/inc/timthumb.php?src=http://themes.apollo13.eu/airlock/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/honda1.jpg&w=295&zc=1
You can see there is double http:// and most servers don't have any problems with it, and many many wordpress templates take advantage of it and use timthumb script to operate on images. This makes work on theme much easier and using absolute paths(with http://) add more usability (images from other server can be resized).
In your installation I changed it to relative ones so it looks like:
    http://themes.apollo13.eu/airlock/wp-content/themes/airlock/advance/inc/timthumb.php?src=wp-content/uploads/2011/11/honda1.jpg&w=295&zc=1

I think I will add some easy to switch option , so in any case everyone could use relative(safe but restricted only to local server) or absolute path(less safe, not restricted as much).

Thanks for help with giving access to your WP. It was realy helpful.

    With regards.
