    Did you uploaded fatmoon.zip package it via FTP?

    All the Best.
  • I downloaded the fatmoon.zip, unzipped it and uploaded the unzipped fatmoon folder to the themes folder. This is how I always do it with all themes.
  • Does nobody else have this problem?

    Try to install it not via FTP. Please refer to http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/installation_update point 2.

  • I tried both ways of installing, via FTP and via the browser and in both cases I get the same error..

    In general it all means that scripts of WordPress can't write into folders they want to, please take a look at this thread: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/why-i-can-t-install-a-new-plugin-on-my-wordpress

    If this will not help - please send me login credentials via private message.

  • No the folder rights are fine, that is not the issue.. I'll try to send you a private message
  • No solution and no more answers. I'd like to get my money back.. How can we arrange that?

    Hi,
    No solutions so far - this is why it is very special case, you're the first person who encountered this kind of problems.
    No more answers - the answer in that it is not a FatMoon's bug. No need to repeat it over and over.

    For sure this is not a FatMoon problem - it is more like our theme and your hosting don't work well together.
    This behavior is caused by WordPress not being able to access files as it should be. And this is not FatMoon fault, it's nobody's fault. Just an ugly case.
    Last thing you can try is a solution that worked in this case: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wordpress-installation-crashes-first-on-upgrade-and-now-on-activation/
    If this will not help - for sure you can apply for refund ( https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund- ) and we will assist you.

  • I don't blame Fatmoon, I fully agree that it looks like a combination that makes things 'not compatible'. I haven't got any issues with other themes but understand that other people can run Fatmoon without issues. I looked at your link but on my site there is no WPML installed. It is a Dutch-only site and there is no need for WPML.
    Thank you for your reply..

    Right, but you can try this as a possible solution:

    >I just added the FS_METHOD constant in wp-config.php file:
    >define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' );

    just place this:
    define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' );
    in wp-config.php file at the top

    read more here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php
    look for 'FS_METHOD'

  • I will try that..
  • I have this same problem however mine shows up on line 1264
    I do believe it may be a problem with the host because I have bought this theme twice- one, I used at InMotion hosting and it worked fine- this time I am using it on a different, smaller, host and am experiencing this problem. Do you guys think it may be an issue concerning account ownership? Did the above issue ever get resolved?

    Line could have shifted, but it can be same issue;-)
    This issue unfortunately didn't get any solution. However you maybe right about source of issue. Have you had any success in debugging this or you gave up on this?

    With kind regards.
