So, I'm trying to figure out how to pull an element from a page and put it on another page, here is the screenshot from the page.

Also, where can I edit the CSS for the font/overlay?

What you show on screen shot is Works list in Grid mode. So you have to use visual composer to insert it. It is described here http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/album_work_post_grid

Settings for overlay you set in Works list or Albums list settings, depending on what you will use. http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/works_list

Ok, so I did this yet I want it to be customized exactly like the one on the screenshot I provided. I want it to go to a page and not an album...quite frankly the page grid looks terrible and the functionality does not really come together.

Also, my filter setting does not come up.

I want it to be used for pages, so I can have it go to pages and not albums, I know pages is a choice yet organizing them to show only certain pages does not seem to work.

Depending on what you will use, Albums or Works, In each album link you can setup Alternative Link so it can lead anywhere you want.

If you used it for Pages, then there will not be any filter, as pages don't have categories.

Tell what post type you choose to lead to your pages, and we will be able to figure out other things:-)

Ok, now I've switched it to posts, and made them come together.

I followed your directions above about editing the overlay in works list,

See my screenshot, I want the posts to have white text....:(

Also, now the posts cannot be clicked and wont take me to the posts...

I think you have missed some info about creating this, and now you are getting lost :-)

Show me link to what you have achieved so far and also send screen shots of how you have setup your post grid(same screen shots as shown here http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/album_work_post_grid but from your page).
