Gif as work featured image

Is there a way to have a gif run as a featured image on the work/portfolio page?
I see it running in the window under edit work but when I preview the portfolio page its static.

Any ideas?

Thanks for getting back to me.
This is my site... in progress .. you can see how the gif animations work when just being displayed, but they will not run as a featured image. Is there a setting or something I should change in order for them to function?

I see you have version 1.1.1, and animated gifs where added in 1.1.2 http://www.apollo13.eu/themes_update/apollo13_framework_theme/index.html
