Hi,
sharing a single photo on facebook doesnt work.
for example for this one:
http://www.cyrilpreiss.com/album/uncover/#lg=1&slide=0Facebook doens't konw how to process such url.
and the url is showing the photo slide index, but it might be wrong if i change my album order later.
Is there a way to get an url of the actual pic ?
is there a way to fix this ?
it's very important to be able to share a photo

I am leaving office now, but please read http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/single_album_social_icons That is true. What you would see better as parameter to locate later proper photo? Path to image might be ugly for some folks. Name of file is also not unique. Position is most stable and elegant. However I am open to suggestions.
With kind regards.
Here an example of link it shares on facebook:
http://www.cyrilpreiss.com/album/gerberoy/20170526-9507_dxo/
The post show fine on facebook, but... when opening this link the photo displayed is a small version and there is a huge space above making it very strange.
http://www.cyrilpreiss.com/album/gerberoy/#lg=1&slide=1
but the post in facebook doesn't show anything...
and as i said before, if i modify the album by changing photo order, this link might show another photo with this "slide = 1" value...
using position in link is elegant but as pictures position might change this doesn't give a reliable way to link to the photo.
Maybe you can add an option to let it this way for people who don't care about this and add another option with a resilient link for each photo.
Being able to share a photo link is essential and not only for facebook sharing.
I don't want to send a photo link to a client and when they open it a few days later it doesn't show the expected photo
1. When you edit this image in media do you have any title?
2. Please tell me what else you would change on this page?
Try installing plugin http://apollo13.eu/docs/apollo13_framework_theme/#!/plugins_recommendations_facebook_open_graph
and then scrap again album using this tool https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=http://www.cyrilpreiss.com/album/gerberoy/
You are totally right, and thanks for bringing this up. You know what, I will see if I can combine something from like id+file_name/title - it should also look nicer then.
With kind regards.
thanks again for answering so quickly. i have just paid you a latte to thank you.
i had installed the facebook plugin, sharing an album is working, the problem is with sharing a photo.
May be not a good idea to include "title" in "id+file_name/title". Title might be modified to.
i think you should use something that will always be valid like the file_name.
Do you have an idea how long it could take you to add this ?
Hard to tell when it be. I plan to release update in around 12 days. If some things will not make it to this update, they will be added in next.
Lately there is lot of work on forum, so it limits my development time ;-)
With kind regards.
I have just checked this shearing thing and it looks that it works good but different then we wrote.
I have such part of URL
album/gallery-description-2/?gallery_item=gallery18.jpg#lg=1&slide=3
When page loads script searches by all photos and search for file that is named
gallery18.jpg
.Then when it finds it, script adds part
#lg=1&slide=3
to inform light-box which slide to open.I have checked and moved photo after sharing and it still finds it correctly.
So you can share your links safely for now.
However changing this to ID + title could make it much prettier and more reliable, when user would upload two photos with same name on different months.
With kind regards.
All that I described in above post is true if you share image form album with addToAny, then it lends on Facebook, and someone click it, and it opens proper photo on your site.
Issues is when you just open album(in bricks mode), then open one image in lightbox ane want to copy link to this photo, then this link looks like
album/gallery-description-2/#lg=1&slide=3
so it doesn't have part?gallery_item=gallery18.jpg
that identify that photo, only position of slide.I will see what can be done in that matter, and probably write later what I came to.
With kind regards.
