Header and Text under menu bar in Rife has disappeared

in Rife Posts: 8
When I open my page with Elementor the image and the text are visible and everything can be edited. When the page is opened with customize it is not visible. When published it does not show up!
It was visible when I was creating the site it disappeared after I started tweaking some options in the Free version of Rife. I installed the Pro Version and tried to find the options controlling these elements without success. Please help.

    Hey Gabs :-)

    I am sure I will be able to help you, but I need a few more details.

    1. Could you share with me a link to the page where the issue occurs?
    2. Can you mark on the screenshot which elements do you mean exactly?

    As it is weekend I might not be available, but I will reply when I can(just like now :-) ).

    Have a great Sunday!

    With kind regards.

    Thanks for offering to help
    This is the link to the page : http://ah1dnrtkz.preview.infomaniak.website/

    This is what I see in Elementor window when editing the page: image 1
    The menu only appears when I point my mouse to the top of the image beyond the element control box (image 2)
    Note the difference in typography between what is online and what appears in Elementor (image 3).
    I know that I will have to take it step by step, but what I want to achieve is a transparent header with the logo as it appears layered on top of the image. This should be the landing. On scroll the transparent header should disappear and be replace by the top bar with an alternate smaller and thiner version of the logo, some contact info and the mega menu access.
    If you can help me with everything great. If you help me get the image back that will be a great first step.
    Thank you in advance

    Yes, we hide theme header when you edit your pages in Elementor and have a mouse in the preview area, cause our header can hide some of the Elementor controls. So don't worry, this is planned.

    About missing section with the blue sea.
    I see it is hidden in Elementor settings. To unhide it, go to edit this Page in Elementor and :
    1. Edit this section by clicking on 6 dots or by right click menu.
    2. Go to Advanced tab, next Responsive and Visibility.
    3. There make sure you have marked all settings as Show, see the screenshot.

    About this one, I am not sure that I see the difference yet, as your 3rd screenshot is also from Elementor preview. On my computer "LA MÉDIATION" title looks a bit thinner than on your screenshot. I see it because font weight set to 200. If I change it to 300 it looks closer to what you have on the screenshot.

    For this best would be our header color variants https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/customizing-the-theme/header/variant-light-dark-overwrites/

    For this, I would use light header color variant and set there transparent background and other colors that you need.

    Next, for this page, set light header color variant in Page Options https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/content-management/pages/pages-options/ Header -> Header color variant

    This will give us a transparent header on top of the page.

    Next in Sticky header – overwrites https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/customizing-the-theme/header/variant-sticky-overwrites/
    set smaller logo, colors and other things you want to be displayed there.

    Like you said you will have to go step by step, but I am here if you need more details.

    With kind regards.

    OK Thanks.
    Now how do I control the size of the logo in the sticky section. Can I set the size in mm or does it have to be in px. If the latter, how do i diffenriate the size in between hires screens and low res screens?

    For the menu, how ca I make sure the top down menu does not stay visible when the link has been chosen?

    Regards

    For the menu how can I make sure the drop down menu is not sticky, that it only deploys on hover and hides after a click or when the mouse leaves the area?

    For now, there is no option to change logo size for a sticky header but I think it is a good idea for a feature. However, you can still tweak it with custom CSS.
    Let's say you have your normal logo 150px wide, then you can use this custom CSS to make it smaller in a sticky header:
    .sticky-values a.logo{
    	width: 100px;
    }
    Logo should be defined in px.
    As for High DPI logo - upload logo in the same proportions as you "normal screen" logo and it will be fine with above CSS.

    I don't think that putting one-page navigation in the submenu is a good idea. You should rather create your anchors links as main positions, like here for example https://rifetheme.com/chillout2/
    It is not user-friendly in a current way as a submenu.

    If you want you can have a different menu for your home page, and different for other pages. How to do it is explained here https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/basic-setup/menus/different-menu-for-various-pages/

    We don't support "hover subemnus". You can read more about it here https://rifetheme.com/help/docs/customizing-the-theme/header/main-menu/

    I hope I have replied to all your questions :-)

    With kind regards.
