where do i change the width of the whole template? can resize sidebar without changing main area?

there is no width set to the template, only max-width. Our template is responsive so if you change its max-width value we cannot guarantee that it will not mess up. Many elements depends on max-width of the template. The same thing with sidebar. You have to change all width depends on it in all size.
