Thumbnails not showing in portfolio
I installed the new theme but the thumbnails in my portfolio page is not showing.
I tried leaving the thumbnail field empty in the portfolio item and also adding one.
It does not seem to make a difference.

you need to reupload all your thumbs images to your media library again. Wordpress generates thumbs only when you are uploading them form your computer.
