  i thought it should add a "pin it" button to every image in the blog, and that i could add description, captions and hashtags to the images for pinterest serarch...

  I don't think this plugin will work like that out of the box. What is more, it was not updated in 4 years.
  You should look for another plugin probably that is more actively developed:-)
