After looking in pages, only the default sample page is visible. What could be the issue?

Yes it is common issue if you try to download attachments also. I have explained this in documentation http://apollo13.eu/docs/superior/#!/installing_demo_data.
As said here http://support.apollo13.eu/discussion/1784/dummy-data-sample-data-doesnt-work-#Item_2 we will work on our own importer that will download images AJAX style so wordpress wont get time out(while downloading 90MB of our demo data images).
Meanwhile I advise you to uncheck Download and import file attachments while trying to import. That way you wont see all images in demo data but you can see how pages are constructed and check all settings.
