optimal image resolution for "fit landscape mode"

edited December 2012 in Spaceship Posts: 7
Hi support,

I have the problem that when I use the fit landscape option instead of "fit always" my images gets cut off both at the top and bottom which means I have to add extra spacing to my images - that doesn't look too good. Is there a solution to this or a optimal image resolution you guys can recommend? I would like to have my images in fullscreen mode as it looks so much better.

thanks in advance.

Best

I understand what you need. There is no easy bulletproof way to do it as we didn't plan that users would love such image placement better then ours. Now we are wiser :-)

Anyway our other theme suffers from same issue and this is what we came to:

It should also work for spaceship. You can however experiment with those CSS values.

    With regards.
  • Hey Air,

thank you so much for the quick response. I tried out the CSS settings. The image budged a bit but not much. I tried to alter the values however that did not change anything. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I added the code into the stylesheet.css. If you have the time you can have a look? or else I will just have to wait for an update. :)

    thanks!

There is no file like stylesheet.css in our theme ;-) But for sure you have tried to add to style.css but didn't set theme to uncompressed mode http://apollo13.eu/docs/spaceship/#!/advance_menu_use_compressed_js_amp_css ;-)

BUT you don't have to do it. I think you should add this CSS from post via plugin like this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pc-custom-css/ activate it, and next go to Appearance->Custom CSS. There you can insert your custom CSS.

    Then it should make difference.

    With regards.
